After breakfast, you leave Marrakech in the direction of the impressive High Atlas. On the way you will pass charming Berber villages and breathtaking mountain landscapes. The winding road takes you through the picturesque Tichka Pass (2260 m), where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Continue towards the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that brings Morocco’s history to life with its impressive mud buildings and historic walls.
After a visit to the kasbah, you continue through the beautiful Dades Valley, which stretches along the mountain slopes with its striking cliffs and well-preserved kasbahs. The road takes you past the oasis of Skoura, which is lined with palm trees and old kasbahs and offers a picturesque backdrop. In the evening, you will reach Boumalne Dadès, where you can end the day with a relaxing walk through the valley. After a traditional Moroccan dinner, spend the night in a cozy hotel and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the valley.
After breakfast, you set off towards the impressive Sahara desert. First you drive through the famous Dades Valley, which is characterized by steep cliffs and picturesque oasis landscapes. In Erfoud, known for its fossils, you make a short stop before continuing towards Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. When you reach Merzouga, an exciting experience awaits you: a camel trek through the high dunes of the Sahara. After dinner in the desert camp, spend the night under the clear starry sky of the Sahara, an unforgettable experience in the middle of the dunes.
After breakfast, you leave Merzouga and continue towards Fès. On the way, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the vast landscapes of the desert, which gradually give way to fertile valleys and hills. Your first stop is in Erfoud, where you have the opportunity to learn more about the fossil industry before continuing your journey through the impressive Ziz Valley. The palm groves and oases provide a picturesque contrast to the desert, and you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you drive along the winding roads.
Continue to Midelt, a small town that is considered the gateway to the Middle Atlas. Here you can enjoy a relaxed lunch in a traditional restaurant before continuing your journey. The landscape slowly changes and you reach the charming town of Ifrane, also known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its alpine appearance. After a short stop in Ifrane, you continue to Fès, where your adventure ends.
