We begin by traveling through the scenic Middle Atlas mountains and its cedar forests. We’ll pass the charming Ifrane ski resort and the artisan village of Azrou, famous for its cedar woodcrafts. After crossing the Zad pass (2,178m), we reach Midelt for lunch. The journey continues through Errachidia and the picturesque Ziz Valley en route to Erfoud, before heading to the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes in the desert. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel in Merzouga.
After breakfast, we’ll explore the Merzouga desert, visiting the Gnaoua village of Khamlia, the Mifiss mines, and meet Berber nomads. After a midday rest at the hotel, your camel caravan begins at sunset, taking you deep into the Erg Chebbi dunes for a memorable night in a traditional Berber tent. Enjoy a campfire dinner, local music, and sleep under the stars.
Start the day with an early sunrise camel ride back to the hotel. Then, we head to Rissani to explore its historic marketplace, and visit Erfoud to see the famous marble fossil workshops. Traveling through the Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves, we stop for lunch before visiting the striking Todra Gorge. Our day ends at Dades Valley, where dinner and overnight stay await at a charming hotel in Dades Gorge.
After breakfast, we travel through the scenic Dades Valley, passing through Rose Valley, famous for its kasbahs and ksours. After lunch in Kelaat M’gouna, we continue to the Skoura palm groves and visit Kasbah Amridil. The evening will be spent at a cozy hotel in Ouarzazate, including dinner.
Following breakfast, we’ll visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the famed film studios of Ouarzazate, and the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou kasbah. From there, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass and reach Marrakech by late afternoon or evening, where your desert adventure concludes with drop-off at your accommodation.
